Authorities say a Pataskala man whose vehicle was slammed into Monday when a man fleeing police ran a red light has passed away.

Lt. Lawerence Roseboro says that the Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol was informed Wednesday afternoon of the death of 48-year-old Jeff Robinson.

On Monday, Hebron Police say 51-year-old Randy Ratliff was pulled over by authorities for not having working taillights, when Ratliff and other passengers got out of the vehicle, Ratliff then jumped back into his pick-up, running a red light at Ohio 79 and Enterprise Drive, striking Robinson's vehicle.

Lt. Roseboro says that the Granville Post is investigating the accident and will send their report to the Licking County Prosecutors Office for possible charges against Ratliff.
