A Frazeysburg home is a total loss after a fire Friday morning. It took firefighters from three area departments to battle the blaze.
Crews were called to the scene at 10480 O'Dell Road around 11:20 a.m. Firefighters say upon arrival the second floor was fully engulfed in flames.
Daniel Brown, the owner of the home, says a wood burner on the back porch of the home started the fire.
"Started to try and put it out, but I saw it was way to far for me to put out, so we started getting a few things out, we got some of our important papers out, a couple hand fulls of clothes and we got out," says Daniel Brown.
Brown says the home is more than 100 years old and primarily made of wood. Firefighters say they did have some problems upon arrival
"Biggest difficulty so far is the water supply, took us a while to get our water supply set up," says Captain Joe Florian with the Frazeysburg Fire Department.
"The houses is a total loss, but Brown says it is merely stuff and he will persevere and rebuild. The Red Cross is providing Daniel Brown and his wife, Nancy, with money for food and clothing. They will be staying with friends and relatives.
