Four people are sent to Good Samaritan Hospital after an accident in Zanesville.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Maple and Adair Avenues.

Zanesville Police Department Lieutenent Tony Coury says 18-year-old Ashley Valentine was traveling east on Adair Avenue when she attempted to make a left hand turn onto Maple Avenue. He says Valentine ended up striking 33-year-old Melissa Bowman, who was traveling west on Adair Avenue.

Valentine and her passenger, 19-year-old Jessie Dodson, were taken by Community Ambulance to the hospital. Crews also transported two passenger in Bowman's car, 33-year-old Stacey Taylor and 51-year-old Steven Abrams.

Coury says Valentine will be cited with failure to yield when turning left.
