A Licking County family is homeless after a morning fire.
It happened just before 8 a.m. at 402 Doris Road.
The West Licking Joint Fire District says when it arrived at the scene, it found a large volume of smoke coming from the home.
No one was home at the time of the fire, but it is considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental but remains under investigation. Batallian Chief, Brad Williams, says the source of the fire was traced to an air freshener that was plugged into an electrical outlet. He says investigators are checking in to see if that air freshener was part of a recall.
The Red Cross is offering assistant to the homeowners, Daniel Clark and Tanya DeVito along with their five children.
