The YMCA is highlighting another one of its "Women of Achievement" recipients.
Keisha Norris is the second woman to be honored with the Ethel Granger Schultz Young Adult award. She says the honor has slowly been sinking in and she's had a lot of support from her family.
"My mom is quite excited and just about everybody I know is excited, at least the want to see me up on a billboard somewhere, which I am nervous about, but everybody else is in good spirits about, " says Norris.
Norris says it's important to be an active member in the community. She has worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters and her local church on many projects, and she is also offering some advice to the women in our community.
"You never know what you have to give. You might think what you have to give is small, like if you don't have any money but you have more time. So, you never know. It's what people are in need of. Just try your best, " says Norris.
The 2010 Women of Achievement Awards presentation will be held Wednesday, April 21st in the Ohio University-Zanesville/Zane State Campus Center.
