Muskingum county will know the approximate value of its properties after a routine appraisal.
Today the commissioners met with the County Auditor Anita Adams to open bids for the appraisal process.
"Ohio Law requires all properties every six years for taxation purposes," said Adams. "We received our order from the Ohio Department of Taxation about one month ago."
The county has about 70,000 properties which will be appraised for 2012.
Adams said the process will take about 15 to 18 months to complete.
