Community Work Rewarding

We now head to the John McIntire Library this week to highlight another YMCA "Women of Achievement" recipient.

Stacey Russell is the library's treasurer and has been a local resident her entire life. She says when Executive Director, Craig Miracle, notified her, she felt honored.

"I was very, very surprised. Craig called me, and I had no idea I was even nominated, " says Russell.

Russell is also serving the community by being involved with Westview PTO, the United Way, and Operation Feed. She says she enjoys volunteering because it's rewarding.

"It makes our community stronger and better. It makes people want to come here, live, and work. So, I just think it's really important, " says Russell.

Russell will receive the Mary Townsend Professions Award at the "Women of Achievement" banquet next month.
