The Port Authority is one step closer to announcing their new executive director.
At today's meeting, the field of candidates was narrowed from six to two.
"We are notifying the number one prospect and getting him to come back in," said Port Authority Chairman Dick McClelland. "We're going to talk about a pay package and make sure that we're on the same page. Hopefully if that individual accepts the position, we will notify who we need to notify soon."
McClelland said they are working as quickly as possible to get someone in place, however whoever is chosen will have about 30 days to leave their current position before starting with the Port Authority.
