Man Dead After Accident

A Lancaster man was pronounced dead at the Fairfield Medical Center Friday following a motorcycle accident around 1 p.m.

According to the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol, 61-year-old Terry Kent was driving a motorcycle on County Road 33-A in Greenfield Township in Fairfield County when he stopped at a light at Collins Road. Witnesses say Kent then appeared to become unconscious, slumped over and accelerated through the intersection. He went off the right side of the road, hit a guardrail and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Kent was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead. The accident is under investigation and the cause of death is pending the coroner's investigation.
