A self taught painter is the featured artist for April's First Friday Art Walk.
Chandlersville native, Nancy Holland, began painting when she was just seven years old. In her 64 years as a painter she has dabbled in everything from watercolor to oils on canvas and she finds her inspiration in the beauty of nature.
"She has mostly right now been doing scenes, landscape art work and you can see it is beautiful work. What she has done, but she has done a variety of things," tells Karen Bogard with ZAAP.
Bogard says ZAAP chose to feature Holland to help get her out of her shell and introduce more people to her work.
"We wanted to help her display and let people see her work specifically and we think that she is a very good artist especially for one being self taught," tells Bogard.
The ZAAP First Friday Art Walk will also feature a variety of artwork from ZAAP members. It is free of charge and there will be food, drinks and live music. The Zandex bus will be available to transport people to the eight participating galleries.
