"Business First" out of Louisville is reporting that Mattingly Foods has purchased a Louisville-based company.
"Business First" says Mattingly purchased Irish Hill Foods Inc., a company that provides high-quality meat products to upscale restaurants.
The business journal cites Irish Hill Foods owner Tom Dawson as saying Mattingly bought the company and plans to fold it into its Louisville operation. Dawson did not disclose terms of the deal.
A WHIZ call to Mattingly Chief Executive Officer Ric Barnes requesting comment on the matter was not returned.
On March 16th Mattingly's announced that it lost its two biggest customers and would be laying off 250 of 315 employees effectively shutting down the Zanesville operations with exception of their "cash and carry" business.
