A Columbus man learned his fate Monday for causing a crash that killed a Zanesville man.

Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark Fleegle sentenced 22-year-old Anthony Troiano to a total of four years in prison. Troiano had pled guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and two counts of vehicular assault.

According to the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol on April 20, 2009 Troiano went left-of-center on State Route 60 south near Durant Road forcing 68-year-old Charles Peyatt to swerve out of the way. Troiano then re-corrected and hit Peyatt's car, killing Peyatt and injuring his two passengers.

In addition to his four-year-sentence Troiano's license is suspended for ten years.
