No parent likes to see their child bullied and with technology ever changing, kids are finding ways to bully outside of the classroom.
West Muskingum Middle School is trying to keep parents well informed by having a Parent Activity Night. A variety of speakers will cover cyber bullying, drugs and alcohol use and sexting.
"They really need to know the severity of texting, sexting for one thing, also cyber bullying because if you bully someone and it is brought to school, we are responsible for that we will deal with that," says Principal Steve Kish Jr.
This is the school's first attempt at a Parent Activity Night and Principal Kish says he hopes parents go home and discuss the issues with their children.
"We want them to be a part of helping their youngsters do the proper thing not do dangerous things like the bullying or drugs and alcohol," says Kish.
The Parent Activity Night is being held in conjunction with West Muskingum's Student Night and begins at seven p.m. Students and parents can also donate blood at West Muskingum Middle School until nine o'clock Friday night.
