The Cambridge Police Department is investigating an incident involving a substitute teacher at North Elementary School earlier this week.

Superintendent Dennis Dettra says he can't go into detail about what the woman was doing Monday but can say she exhibited inappropriate behavior. A parent of a student told WHIZ News that she showed her tan line to the students.

When Dettra was notified of the incident, he says he escorted the woman from the building. He also reported it to the police department, Guernsey County Children's Services, and the Ohio Department of Education's Teacher Misconduct Unit.

Dettra says the woman has been a substitute teacher in the district before along with other surrounding districts, and he says they have never had a problem with her before.

Letters were sent home to parents of all the students, notifying them of what was going on.
