You can see plenty of May's flowers on display in art work at the monthly First Friday Artwalk.
This month's featured artist is Gary Graham, who specializes in pottery and acrylic painting.
"I've done a lot of oil paintings and portrait work, which was not quite what I was interested in and then once I got through that, I picked up the acrylic which was not popular then as it is today," he said. "Now all that I do is acrylic."
Graham says he grew up interested in art, but he put the hobby aside to raise a family. Now he's back at it.
"I like to travel around and do Amish scenes, barns, seascapes from the east coast," he said. "I go into the Carolinas several times a year and Massachusetts, different areas where I can get some new material to work with."
May's First Friday Artwalk kicks off at 6 p.m. this Friday. The ZAAP Gallery will be open until 9 p.m.
