A group a very special students is being recognized for their hard work.
About 40 students with multiple disabilities in kindergarten through 5th grade were honored by their teachers, recognizing their contributions and accomplishments during the school year.
"They're very excited," said teacher Kelly Wright. "As a teacher it's great to see them excited and in an arena that's not classroom driven. We like to recognize some of their social skills and some of their contributions to our school buildings."
Wright saID that, although they are the teachers, it's the students who teach them lessons every day.
"every day they teach me something about perseverance and about the way I can improve myself as an individual," said Wright. "how to relate to other people, and to not give up."
The students are in classes within the Tri-Valley and East Muskingum school districts.
