As the week-long Click-it or Ticket program draws to an end, Zanesville Police Department's Sergeant Chris Rice says that the program has helped the department crack down on driving violations throughout the city.
"So far we've had a good success. We've written 75 speeding violations, we've had over 28 other incidents including driving under suspension, towed vehicles. We even got an out-of-state felony warrant arrest from a traffic stop," says Sergeant Rice.
The program wraps up tonight at 11pm, but Sergeant Rice urges people to continue to slow down and buckle up.
"Be considerate, be safe. Give yourself a little extra time. Obey the speed and traffic laws and of course wear your seat belt. Make sure you have your kids buckled in."
With the holiday weekend around the corner, it is especially important to follow traffic laws.
