Several areas of town suffer thefts from vehicles and efforts of citizens lead to the arrest of three people.

Lt. Shaw said that around 10pm Wednesday callers in the 300 block of Woodlawn reported suspicious activity near parked vehicles.

Officers responding arrested Paul and Heidi Willey of Cambridge for breaking into the cars.

A short time later the Cambridge Police called to report that the vehicle the couple was using may have been stolen and used in thefts in Cambridge.

Both are locked up on charges and the investigation into the Cambridge thefts continue.

Also, just after midnight Thursday morning, Police said 49-year-old Charles Hamilton was arrested for thefts in the 7th Street and Shinnick area. Callers say Hamilton was going through parked cars on 6th Street and took a mower. He now faces charges.
