The Licking County Crime Stoppers needs the public's help in solving an aggravated robbery in Newark, and it's offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information on the matter.

The incident happened around midnight on May 24th. The Newark Police Department says a suspect, displaying a gun, walked up to a man near the 200 block of West Church Street and demanded money. When the man said he didn't have any money, the suspect proceeded to hit the victim in the back of the head and then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black man, with a lighter complexion. He's tall, slender, and has short, dark facial hair. He's believed to be between the ages of 18 and 30, and he was last seen wearing a black baseball hat with a white logo on it, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a pair of jeans.

If you have any information, you're asked to call 740-349-6888.
