This is the last weekend for Zanesville High School.
Starting Monday they will start tearing down the music and gym wing of the school. Zanesville City Schools' Darrell Lear says some will be sad to see it go.
"Some of them are going to be sad because they are going to see a building coming down thats been here all their lives if they live in Zanesville and have went to school there as well as myself," Lear said.
Lear said during the construction people can take part of the old building home.
"At the end of each construction day they will be taking a scoop from one of those big machines there and throwing some bricks over the fence and folks can come up and pick up a brick for a momentos piece if they'd like." Lear said.
But he said they have a brand new building that's coming together nicely. And the students will start the year in their new school September 7th.
