A family friend of an 18-year-old Crooksville teen, who died from a hit-skip accident last weekend, is prepared to offer a $1,000 reward for anyone who can shed light on the incident.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, has set up the fund with the Crooksville Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy Chief Joe Carr or the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol.

So far, no one involved has stepped forward to help solve this case. The man says he just wants to help the family get closure during this time of grieving.

Troopers say David Savage Junior was walking along State Route 93 around three a.m. last Sunday morning, when he was struck by a vehicle and killed.
