A local couple recieves a warm surprise from one chartiable organization.

Earl and Billy Jo Munyan say their prayers were answered when the Salvation Army donated a handicap accessible van to them. The couple was seeking financial assistance from the community to purchase a vehicle that was easier for Earl to get in and out of.

"I thanked god, I praised god, I was dancing around, my grandkids started dancing, I was so excited and I started crying," said Billy Jo Munyan.

Due to medical complications, Munyan lost complete use of his legs this past May, making it a struggle to travel back and forth to the hospital. He says he is very grateful for the donation.

"I think its a nice organization, and if there is any way I could help them, I'd help them," said Earl Munyan.

The Munyan's will also be hosting a Speghetti dinner fundraiser on September 18th to seek further donations for repairs needed on the van.

Donations can be made at any Huntington Bank under the Earl Munyan Fund.
