Hundreds of people are visiting the Salvation Army to do a little shopping...for free.
The Free School Clothing Giveaway started Thursday and will continue on Friday and the price is right for Muskingum, Noble, and Perry county residents.
"I don't have money to buy a lot of clothes so I look forward to this every year," Davis said.
Kelly Davis has four children.
"I am shopping for my daughter Mary Jane, and my three boys Decker, Blaze, and Eric," Davis said.
Davis takes part every year so her kids will have something new to wear on the first day of school.
"This really helps. You can find some really good stuff in here. I found some really good jeans so far and I'm very impressed," Davis said.
Mindy McCloy from the Salvation Army says they have more clothes, shoes, and school supplies than ever before.
"I also believe that the need is going to be bigger this year too with the economy. But god provided," McCloy said.
In order to go shopping adults have to bring their I-D card and a Social Security Card for any of their kids they plan on shopping for.
"They can get five outfits for every child in their household that is school age."
Davis said she can't wait to show her kids their new clothes.
"I'll lay it all out and let them see what they got. Then they will say I want this outfit getting ready for the first day," Davis said.
"They feel awesome. They just do. They're like 'oh i can't wait to start school,' " Davis said.
Davis said she really appreciates the Salvation Army and the community.
"I would just like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Without this it would be hard to get clothes for the kids. I thank them so much," Davis said.
The Salvation Army Free School Clothing Giveaway will be going on Friday from 10 to 3.
