A two-car accident at the intersection of West Main and Pine Street sends one person to the hospital.

Sergeant Chris Phipps of the Zanesville Police Department says a red Bonneville was traveling down Pine Street onto West Main Street when it appears that the vehicle lost brake control and was struck by an R.C. Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling van traveling on West Main Street. Sgt. Phipps says that there were no passengers in either vehicle. Crews had to use the jaws of life on the Bonneville to release the driver. The driver of the van was not transported.

Along with the Zanesville Police Department, the Zanesville Fire Department and Community Ambulance also responded.
