Five people are taken into custody following a drug bust in Perry County.

It happened at 6749 Monroe Township Road 1008 in Corning yesterday.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office along with agents from the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force responded to the residence after receiving reports of trafficking in heroin. Two search warrants were executed at the home, in some vehicles at the scene, and at a nearby camper. Sergeant Kevin Starrett says deputies seized an undisclosed amount of heroin, prescription drugs, marijuana, and money.

The names of the individuals will not be released until formal charges are filed.
