Sheriff Lutz on Stabbing

The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office says a man is in custody after a stabbing in Washington Township.

Sheriff Matt Lutz says deputies were called to the scene at 2835 Adamsville Road shortly after midnight Sunday morning.

"During the time of the incident we did have a report of a man with a knife. Once our deputies arrived we did find that two people had been stabbed one of which was a self-inflicted wound," says Lutz.

Sheriff Lutz says 40-year-old Brian Wilson stabbed his wife Stacy and then himself. Authorities are currently unsure of the motive.

"Once the case is cleared we can figure that out, but it just started off as a domestic," says Lutz.

Stacy Wilson was treated and released at Good Samaritan Hospital. Brian Wilson was treated and released from a Columbus hospital. He is currently in the Muskingum County Jail on a $50,000 bond facing one count of felonious assault and two counts of domestic violence.
