Everything is getting put into place for the 164th Muskingum County Fair.
Fair organizers held a media night Thursday to show off all the fair will have to offer this year. The fair board has gotten everything ready for the arrival of the nearly 1700 exhibitors over the next two days.
"It seems like if we can get a jump on getting different things in place to put the show on before the exhibitors come in that's a big help," says Darrel Cubbison, Fair Board President.
Organizers have also put fans in place because of the high temperatures for the livestock, but more so the fair-goers.
"The animals are not hard to keep cool, it's the people, because the animals are used to it. They're in barns, they're in pasture fields so their bodies are adapted to it. So it's not much different," he says.
The fair officially kicks off Sunday at 8 a.m and runs through Saturday the 21st.
Cubbison says those who are planning on coming to the fair next Friday for the Lady Antebellum concert should get to the fairgrounds by early afternoon, because they are expecting record-breaking crowds.
