A hot day under the sun set up a warm round of golf for those taking part in the Chamber/Jaycees outing.
30 teams were at the Jaycees Golf Course for the joint fundraiser that supports both organizations. The thousands raised goes back to the community for projects close to the organizations and that makes the area stronger.
"That's what makes this a great place to live, a great place to make businesses want to locate and strong community organizations," explained Tom Poorman chamber president. "That's how we grow our community, that's what makes this a great place to live."
While the teams travelled the course it also made for a chance for business owners to discuss their companies.
"It's a great opportunity for area business people to get together, network, enjoy some time in the sun."
And while golfers were swing towards a hold in one, they also took time to enjoy a dinner that included meats purchased at two local establishments.
