Two people are taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital as a result of a crash on Interstate 70.
It happened around 7 p.m. near the Underwood Street exit in Zanesville. ZPD Patrolman James Devoll says the driver of the Jeep was in the left westbound lane when he lost control, struck the center median, and then turned sideways into a private passenger bus in the right lane. The bus was empty at the time of the crash, but Devoll says the driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
As traffic began backing up on I-70, Devoll says a woman riding with a group of bikers failed to see the slowed traffic and was forced to lay her bike on the ground. He says she was taken to the hospital with minor injuries too.
Both incidents remain under investigation, but Devoll says both drivers could be cited with failure to control.
