One local community is showing support for it's fire department.

The 17th Annual Antique and Classic Automobile/Truck/Bike Show was held this afternoon at Sam Hatfield Stadium in Duncan Falls. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department.

"We start about a couple months, about december, and we hit all the car shows and put fliers in the cars, we do our work we advertise, yes we do a lot of work to go into it," said Wayne Township Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Steve Farus.

Around 180 cars participated in the car show and it cost $6.00 to enter.

"We usually try to make about a couple thousand dollars it goes to buy supplies and equipment for our fire department," said Farus.

He says the department appreciates the continued support shown over the years by the community..
