One family isn't letting time or distance keep them from reuniting.
The Hunt family is celebrating their 90th family reunion. Nearly 100 family members gathered for a day of fun and memories. William and Cora Hunt started the reunion back in 1920 with their nine children. The last living grandchild of Cora and William recalls how the reunion has grown over the years.
" I wasn't around in the beginning, I came along about ten years later, and it's been quite successful, and it's amazing that as many show up as they do now," said family member Wendel Hunt.
Families have traveled in as far as Minnesota for the event. One member says he hopes future generations keep this tradition alive.
"We have a lot of youngsters coming so that'll help us keep the reunion going. I'd like to see the hundred," said Dee Harding.
A geneaology book was developed over the years to help keep track of all the Hunt family members..
