911 Calls

Some tense moments in Nashport Monday morning as another Tri-Valley District school bus is involved in an accident.

This is the second school bus crash in Muskingum County in almost four months. Other drivers, who came upon the scene got on their phones and made a plea for help to the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office.

Dispatcher: 911, what's your emergency.

Driver: We have an extremely big emergency on 146, right up 586. Someone's hurt very bad...

Dispatcher:Hurt how?

Driver: A school bus and a car.

Driver: We have a bus accident, and we have children that are hurt. I've got three with neck injuries that hit their head.

Dispatchers: Ok, are you a driver on the bus?

Driver: No, I'm actually a nursing student and certified first aid.

The Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is the lead investigative team on the case and spent more than four hours taking pictures and collecting evidence at the scene.
