A Zanesville man charged in connection with the armed robbery of an area gas station was in court Wednesday.

24-year-old Hunter McNerney pled guilty to aggravated robbery with a gun specification and theft of the Exxon Gas Station on the West Pike.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says McNerney used an assault style weapon and was wearing a mask at the time of the incident September 14th around 1:30 in the morning.

Lutz says the suspect was arrested a short time later.

Judge Kelly Cottrill set McNerney’s bond at $100,000 cash.
