The Ohio Department of Natural Resources: Division of Wildlife is teaming up with one volunteer organization once again to provide food to those in need.
It's offering to help pay for the processing costs of the leftover deer meat hunters bring to the "Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry" ministry. That donated venison heads to food banks across the state. More than 120,000 pounds were donated just last year to 44 of Ohio's 88 counties.
The volunteer organization is asking for additional coordinators to help out with this year's mission.
