A driver is cut out of the car after an accident in Dresden.

It happened around 3:30 p.m.

Zanesville Post State Troopers say 76-year-old John Peddicord of Coshocton was traveling north on State Route 60 when he collided with a Ford Mustang driven by 47-year-old John Constable of Tennessee that was attempting to cross State Route 60 from 9th Street. Troopers say the impact forced both vehicles into the southbound lane of State Route 60 and caused Peddicord to strike a fence.

Crews had to use the jaws of life to extract Constable from the Mustang. Both drivers were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with what the Zanesville Post is calling minor injuries.

Trooper Trenas Weaver says Constable was cited for failing to stop at the stop sign.
