Police on lookout for Vehicle involved in hit/skip

Heath Police continue to look for a motorist involved in a Sunday night accident with a bike.

Officials said the accident at Custer and Putnam Roads took place at 8:48pm Sunday night.

According to a police report the mother of a 12-year-old called police stating her child was struck by a black pick-up truck while biking.

The child was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital. The child told police the driver of the truck did stop to check if they were okay then left the area.

Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

The truck is described as a small black regular cab, fleet side truck with thin pin stripes down the side.

The victim said the driver was a clean shaven, white male with dark hair and was in his 30's.
