Around 230,000 wild turkeys are inhabiting Ohio, just in time for the start of the Fall Wild Turkey Hunting season. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says it's a better outlook than last year's season, when more than 2,000 wild turkeys were hunted.

Hunters will be allowed to scout these birds a half hour before or after suset starting next Saturday, October 9th. The season will last through November 28th. Each hunter is only allowed to take one-turkey of either sex. You do need a fall turkey hunting permit in order to take part in this year's season.

Officials also want to remind hunters to wear orange clothing so they're visible to others.
