A Coshocton County Deputy is injured after a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning.

The Cambridge Post of the State High Patrol says around 7:47 a.m. Coshocton County Deputy James Crawford lost control of his cruiser on the ramp from I-77 southbound to I-70 westbound.

Crawford went off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and then struck a westbound commercial truck driven by David Sykora of Amelia, Ohio.

The cruiser sustained heavy damage and the commercial truck received moderate damage. Deputy Crawford was transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries after he was extricated from his vehicle. Sykora was not injured.

The ramp from I-77 to I-70 west was temporarily closed down for three hours due to the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
