With the fall in temperatures one local group is keeping kids in our area all buttoned up and in style.
The Salvation Army went shopping Wednesday for their Coats for Kids program. People signed up to get a coat at the Salvation Army and tomorrow they will be able to pick them up.
"It's just to get all of our kids out there so they have a coat and be warm this winter be able to enjoy their self and you know and not be cold you know i hate to see them go to school and be cold,"Joyce Krouskoupf Salvation Army Coordinator Coats for Kids said.
Krouskoupf says this year there has been a greater need for coats but the community has really stepped in to help.
"Old Towne Cleaners have just been awesome with us. They always clean the ones that come in and then the community has just been great too because they bring in coats and that's when they go to Old Towne Cleaners and that's when they clean them for us for nothing. So it's great but I would just like to thank the community because they donated so much for us to make this happen," Krouskoupf said.
Friday anyone can get a coat from the Salvation Army just bring your id and social security card for anyone your picking up for.
