A man is found injured along Linden Avenue Thursday evening.
Authorities say around 7 p.m. witnesses saw a man either jump or be tossed from a blue Chevy Cavalier that continued driving southbound on Linden Avenue.
"Right now we're not sure what took place the officer got flagged down, they found an adult male laying in the roadway," said Lieutenant Tony Coury of the Zanesville Police Department.
The victim was identified as 34-year-old Chad Abbott. He sustained head injuries and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment.
Lieutenant Coury says alcohol was involved in the incident, which is still being investigated.
