The Zanesville Highway Patrol says one person was slightly hurt in a one vehicle accident on Licking Road Friday afternoon just south of Ray Thomas Lumbertown. Troopers say 59-year-old Connie Adams of Zanesville took her eyes of the road to put her glasses away when she hit a mailbox, went into a ditch and hit a utility pole. Emergency crews used the “jaws of life” to cut Adams out of her vehicle. Licking Road was closed for about an hour while the accident was investigated. Adams was cited by troopers for failure to control. The accident happened just after 12:30 this afternoon.
