The race for Ohio Attorney General makes a stop in Zaneville.
Former United States Senator Mike DeWine who's running for Attorney General met with some supporters at Bryan Place Friday morning.
"W'ere finishing up the campaign really talking about my vision for the Attorney Generals Office. My wife, Fran and I have been here many times and we love the county. We love the people and this is truly the heartland of the state of Ohio. We wanted to gather with some friends and that's what we did. This was a great place to be this morning," DeWine said.
DeWine said he's a former prosecuting attorney and that he understands the importance of getting evidence quickly to get criminals behind bars.
"I will focus like a lazer on protecting the citizens of the state and the first thing we have to do we have to fix that broken crime lab and i will do that," DeWine said.
DeWine is running against democratic incumbent Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray.
