Local residents are also lining the streets to honor our local veterans.
Following the dedication ceremony, was the annual Veterans Day Parade. Those in the crowd not only cheered for the veterans of past wars, but soldiers who are currently serving.
A variety of floats were on display including families of active duty troops, marching bands, and local clubs.
"Every able bodied person ought to be a veteran," said Don Hindel who is a veteran of the Korean War.
Don's brother Larry served in World War II. Larry says that he appreciates those thanking him for his service.
"They always seem to yes, people respect you that's for sure."
If you didn't have a chance to see the parade, WHIZ Media Group will broadcast it on the noon show Thursday.
