Two Perry County residents are facing charges after authorities discover a large marijuana growing operation inside a Corning home.

Perry County Sheriff's Sgt. Kevin Starrett says deputies along with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Corning Police Department seized more than 50 marijuana plants and hydroponic equipment from inside a residence at 167 Main Street around 8 a.m. Thursday.

Sgt. Starrett says a tip from a resident is what led them to the discovery.

Starrett says two people were arrested from the home but there names are not being released at this time until formal charges are filed.
