A local mother and daughter are doing their part to help the Salvation Army annual food basket distribution effort. Misty Hill and her Philo Junior High School daughter, Mallory, saw that the there was a shortage of food at the Salvation Army and started asking friends and students from the Franklin Local Schools for help. It worked…they were able to collect 936 cans of food. They were so proud they were able to spell out "PHILO ELECTRICS" with the cans. Next year they would like to start collecting sooner and their goal is between 40,000 and 60,000 cans.
