Today was an extra special Christmas for at least one Zanesville area family.
Baby Darian came into the world around 1:49 PM today weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces at Bethesda Hospital. Father Gary Bell told WHIZ News that he feels pure excitement. And mother Heidi Starks knows exactly why...
"Well, I was jinxed so I kind of expected it. Dad wanted a Christmas baby so it kind of worked in his favor," said Starks.
Starks went into labor yesterday evening at 7 o'clock. She says words can't even begin to describe how she felt when holding her son for the first time.
"Oh it was beautiful. They did the skin to skin thing which I didn't get to do with my other kids so it was really nice," said Starks.
Last year, Genesis Bethesda was the birthplace for 1,356 area babies.
