Dresden Accident

The Zanesville Highway Patrol says a 79-year-old woman was killed and another person was injured in a two vehicle accident this morning in Zanesville. It happened just before 8:30 at the intersection of Dresden and Richey Roads. Troopers says 21-year-old Michael Wells of Zanesville was driving south on Dresden in a pick-up truck and 79-year-old Mary Corder, also of Zanesville was traveling east on Richey in an SUV. Troopers say the Corder vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Dresden and was struck on the driver’s side by the Wells vehicle. Corder was pulled from the vehicle by Falls Township emergency crews and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Wells was also taken to Good Samaritan with non life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
