ODOT crews have had a busy January battling area roadways.
With the recent snowstorm that dropped around five inches of snow and a dusting this morning, ODOT has been busy making sure all area roadways are treated properly.
"I think we've been doing a pretty good job. I think this morning the roads were wet but clear and I think currently we have an ample salt supply to take care of any future storms we may get," says Julie Gwinn, Acting Deputy Director ODOT District 5.
Gwinn says a lot of workers will put in overtime as necessary to make sure the job gets done.
"Whenever we get a snow storm, there is always man power issues and we always bring people in and they are able to work over time to get the necessary routes covered. "
Whenever plows are in sight during a snow storm, Gwinn says to always take it slow and don't crowd the plow.
