Ice Causes Power Outages

American Electric Power reports outages from Tuesday's freezing rain and Wednesday's wind in Muskingum, Coshocton, Morgan, Perry  and Licking counties Tuesday.

In Muskingum County 350 customers are without power. Coshocton County reports 925 customers without power and Licking  County reports 2,229are without service. In addition Morgan County reports over 300 customers without service while Perry County has over 400.

The power company said it has brought in additional resources to help restore power. That includes 600 contract line and support personnel from outside Ohio and more than 100 AEP Ohio Line and Contract Line and support personnel.

In addition the Engery Cooperative also has three line crews out working on over 2,200 widely scattered outages. Most of those are in the Pataskala/Beechwood area.
