A water main break that forced schools in the East Muskingum School District to close early Monday has also resulted in a boil advisory.
 

Officials at the New Concord Water Department say the following areas are affected:

• North Friendship Drive north of John Glenn School Road
• Jay Layman Drive
• Cedar Circle
•  Ridgeview Drive.

Water customers may experience low water pressure or discolored water.
 

Officials advise residents in these areas to boil all drinking and cooking water.
 

An additional notice will be issued Wednesday when testing is completed.
